Hugo Sousa emerges as AiemHugo starting in 2012, at a time when street art began to take a central place in his life, bringing the pseudonym onto the walls of the streets. His connection to art has been present since childhood, when he already stood out for his talent in drawing. Painting gained ground in his life at the age of 20, when he began his first experiments with oil, acrylic, and graffiti.
But it was during the long hours in front of a canvas that his imagination and artistic expression truly evolved, leading him to move from the fast-paced race of street walls to a state where time seems to slow down.
Beyond realistic representations, his style stands out for the fusion of realism and pop-art. The interplay of colours and mixed techniques strongly define his artistic language and personal style.
